About me
I'm a physicist and engineer with a strong aptitude for solving technical challenges through both analytical reasoning and a pragmatic approach. Multidisciplinary expertise across physics, engineering, and AI, with hands-on experience in advanced technologies. My academic and professional path is focused on the intersection of quantum physics, technology, and applied research. I thrive in dynamic environments where advanced research meets real-world applications, and I'm motivated by continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
What I did, when.
A chronological line from physics studies to leading AI at BTS. Since 2025 a second branch runs in parallel — the software and websites I build on my own — and it keeps running alongside the PhD.
Education · 2019 → 2024
Physics and Engineering
BSc in Physics, then MSc in Nanotechnology: University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore (110/110 L). Solid state, quantum optics, microwave electronics, embedded measurement systems.
Research · 2024
Quantum technologies at SQEL Lab (NEST · SNS)
Superconducting hybrid devices, Josephson junctions, JoFET design and characterisation. Cryogenic DC/AC measurements up to the microwave regime, dilution refrigerators, UHV systems. Numerical models, decoders, PINNs.
Industry · 2024 → May 2026
R&D Engineer @ BTS Bioengineering — AI / Computer Vision
Technical owner of the AI/CV stack across the product line. Every decision: model selection and optimisation, multi-camera markerless pipelines, communication protocols, >150 fps live inference on embedded devices, post-processing, GPU resource management. Worked at Podium 2D, Podium 3D, and the next markerless camera (soon).
Side projects · 2025 → present
Software & websites I’ve built end-to-end
In parallel with my work at BTS, since 2025 I design and ship software on my own: production websites for real businesses (consulting, beauty, ironwork), AI tools, an in-progress full computer-vision software entirely of my own design, plus this very portfolio. Designed, coded, deployed — top to bottom.
PhD · June 2026 → present
PhD in Quantum Physics — WMI, Technical University of Munich
Starting June 2026, I will be pursuing a PhD in quantum physics at the Walther-Meissner-Institute (WMI) of the Technical University of Munich, working on qubit architectures and entanglement protocols.
